Rockwell Hardness Tester Maintenance
Handling and Storage
When handling a Rockwell hardness tester, considering actual usage conditions, it is recommended to remove the weights and indenter, and place shock-absorbing pads between the indenter seat and the sample stage to reduce impact. For long-distance transport, the instrument should be restored to its original packaging to ensure its safety and integrity.
Daily Maintenance Procedures
Regular lubrication of the sample stage lifting screw is a necessary maintenance measure. The specific lubrication steps are as follows: First, remove the sample stage and protective ring, loosen the screw sleeve, and then add a few drops of light lubricating oil to the screw. Next, rotate the handwheel to repeatedly raise and lower the screw to ensure even distribution of lubricating oil. Finally, reinstall the sleeve and other components. Please note that the amount of lubricating oil injected should not be excessive to avoid affecting the normal operation of the screw. Before performing any adjustment or inspection operations, such as loading or unloading weights, removing the top cover, plugging or unplugging cables, or opening the side door, the power must be disconnected first to ensure safety.
